This lot consists of the 1995-96 Pro Mags goalie insert #IC3, San Jose Sharks' Arturs Irbe , from one of the scarcest inserts of the 90's, "The Iron Curtain NHL Goalies" set of six . These were randomly inserted in the packs of Pro Mags, and are incredibly difficult to find. Condition is nr-Mint-Mint with blank, magnet back. Players name, insert number and Iron Curtain logo done in shiny gold lettering, which doesn't show up well in the scan. This issue never really got off the ground; while there were reportedly 200 cases produced, the owner intimated to me that they only produced essentially what the NHL had stipulated as prerequisite to licensing, and that when they got to the ready point to go with the issue, the NHL increased the fees "exponentially", so the company decided to pass.
